Would you mind introducing yourself? My name is Sam Johnson and I'm 18 years old. I'm from the Sunshine Coast in Australia, but at the moment I'm living in London.
How would you describe your style of photography? I think as a whole and most prominently I work with surrealism. I like to take tangible scenes and give them a more dreamlike look.

When did you first fall in love with taking photos? Around 5 years ago is when I really got interested. The idea of being able to create things is what really drove me to pursue it. It was just another outlet to be creative at the time and I grew to love it.
Do you have a favourite photography related memory, whether it be in front or behind the camera? Growing up skating, my friend Rowan would always take photos of us, he was really great at it and still is today. I think that was my favourite time period relating to photography because I got to be a part of the process and see how he would be creative with his photos.
What inspires your photography? Mostly I like to find inspiration in my everyday activities or just generally offline. It's weird though, I went through a phase recently where I was fixated on the baroque period and I was getting a lot of inspiration from Alonzo Cano. It's funny because it's almost the polar opposite of my style.
Are there any tips you would like to give to anyone out there who would love to create similar style photos to yours? I think I'm still in need of tips myself. I would probably just say figure out why you like the style, learn more about it and then try it in your own way.
