Do you have a favourite photography related memory, whether it be in front or behind the camera? I think my favourite memory has got to be from my recent trip to Peru. I saw a photo a few years ago of a scene from the top of San Antonio pass in the Cordillera Huayhaush mountains. In May we travelled to Peru and planned to see that view. It was around a 60-mile hike just to the pass. All at over 12,000 ft. The pass itself was at nearly 16,000ft! At the top of the pass it was an incredibly nice day but you could tell that the clouds were moving in quickly. It was about 15 minutes of frantic, breathless running around and getting the shots we wanted before the clouds completely enveloped us and the view we worked so hard for was taken away. Well worth it though.
What inspires you to take these wonderful photographs? I think I now need to do it, for me. I've been doing it for so long it just feels right. While going long periods without taking photos honestly makes me depressed.
What kind of camera do you use? Currently I use a Nikon d610 and my primary lens is the Samyang 14mm.
What is your editing process like? Crap haha. I use lightroom and quite frankly I'm all over the place. I really hate working on the computer so if I'm to edit I'm most productive if I go to a coffee shop and bang out a whole bunch in a day.
Are there any tips you would like to give for anyone out there who would love to create similar style photos to yours? Jump in with both feet. That's what I tell everyone. And that applies to so many things outside of photography as well. Force yourself into uncomfortable situations. That's where you learn the most. Don't do anything half ass.
What are some of your passions/hobbies other than photography? I love anything outdoors. Snowboarding, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and backpacking of course.
Do you have any photography related plans for this summer that you would like to share? This summer I'm going to be heading back up to Alaska for another wonderful summer building trails for Denali State Park. Alaska really is the most fantastic place I've ever been and I have too many trips planned to write down.
Who are some of your favourite photographers? Benjamin Everett, Joe Leeper, Nathanael Billings, Alex Strohl. I always look forward to seeing their photos.
Are there any photographers here on Instagram that you love and wish more people knew about? @chaseburnett_, @chaseburnett_, @chaseburnett_

What would be your number one dream destination for a photography adventure? Pakistan for sure!
Which time of year is your favourite for taking photographs? Fall, there's just a certain feel in the air. Not to mention the natural colours everywhere. Summer is a close second for sure!
