Would you mind introducing yourself? Hello! My name is Elisabeth, I'm a 31-year-old photographer. After moving around quite a bit, I have ended up in Haarlem, a small city next to Amsterdam, closer to the seaside of Holland.

Your photography spans many different genres/styles, including landscapes, portraits, and interior design. Which style do you enjoy shooting the most? It is rather difficult to choose. I love shooting portraits - being in contact with your subject, and create something beautiful together. On the other hand, I love to be alone and explore landscapes and take all the time I want to shoot one picture.
When did you first fall in love with taking photos? My mother used to have an old Nikon A1 35mm camera lying around when I was little, and every time she used it, I stole it from her. Years later, after graduating from art school, I picked up my camera again and started taking photos.
What inspires you to take these wonderful photographs? I am always looking to find the odd places in a landscape or play around with compositions during portrait sessions. It gives me such a great feeling to try something 'out of the box'.
What kind of camera do you use? I use a Canon 5D - mark 3 with 24-70mm lens or 50mm lens & Konika Hexar AF (35mm camera).
What is your editing process like? I try to keep my photos as natural as possible, but I do work on my saturation and colour grading a bit. I only use Photoshop.
Are there any tips you would like to give to anyone out there who would love to create similar style photos to yours? Keep an open mind - and see first before you shoot. Always enjoy the moment and go out there as much as possible to train your eye. And keep it simple, don't be afraid to leave something out to make the picture more interesting.
Who are some of your favourite photographers? Anton Corbijn for his compositions and portraits and William Eggleston for his eye. On Instagram, I really enjoy the work of Joe Greer (@ioegreer) and Rich Stapleton (@rvstapleton).
Are there any photographers here on Instagram that you love and wish more people knew about? I love the work of Kevin Aldrich (@kevin.aldrich), he portrays such a clean and unique style. Also, I am in love with the work of Michael Brunt (@michaelbrunt). All of these guys definitely deserve some more attention on Instagram.
Which time of year is your favourite for taking photographs? Summer - Because of the hard sun and the pale colours it gives. Or winter when it is grey and there is no colour at all.
What are some of your passions/hobbies other than photography? I am really passionate about travel. I just got back from being on a world-trip for 1 year. It was the best time of my life. I cannot wait to go again. Next to that, I have a passion for interior design, and you can find me strolling vintage markets to find old treasures.
What would be your number one dream destination for a photography adventure? The first thing that comes to my mind is Spitsbergen. It is still so remote and I like to go to places which are not so hyped. But I also really want to go to Albania, Jordan & South Africa. Next to that I'de love to explore Europe more by car.
