Would you mind introducing yourself? Hi! My name is Connor Davies. I'm a street photographer living in Vancouver.
How would you describe your style of photography? I feel like my style is constantly evolving. If I had to describe it as it is right now it would be a focus on minimalism. I like having a single subject centred in the middle of the photo. I also like having a chromatic film look to my edits and I mostly use my 35mm and 50mm lenses to get the image.

When did you first fall in love with taking photos? I first started taking pictures on my mom's Pentax k1000. At first it wasn’t so much as a love as it was more of an escape. I was in a horrible place in life and found it was the only thing that would take away from the depression and anxiety. For about a year it was just an escape. Slowly I started to get better and about 6 or 7 months ago I found myself again with the help of photography. That was the time that I fell in love and the rest was history.
Do you have a favourite photography related memory, whether it be in front or behind the camera? My favourite photography moment was when me and my now close friend went up a mountain in his jeep. It was the first time I've ever been in awe of my surroundings.
What inspires your photography? My friends inspire me the most. Just knowing that I'm inspiring them to go out and take amazing pictures. That’s what inspires me even when I'm in a creative slump.
What kind of camera do you use? I currently use a Fujifilm x100f and it is the best camera I've ever used. I love how I can just throw it into my jeans pocket and don’t have to worry about missing a shot. I also use a Pentax k1000 with a 50mm 2.82 for all my film work.
What are some of your passions/hobbies other than photography? Working on my car is a very important hobby to me, I don’t have too much time for anything else because photography is my life.
Who are some of your favourite photographers? My biggest inspirations in photography are Joe Greer @ioegreer, Fred Herzog, @alexjamesc, @zachtheleon, @zmelhus, @itsreuben, @michelflugstad, @chaseburnett_, @larry_chen_foto. And some people who think deserve more credit for their work is @masonneufeld and @austiinjohn.
What would be your number one dream destination for a photography adventure? Definitely Japan for street and car photography.
Anything extra you would like to share? I'd just like to say to the people reading this that it is okay not to be okay. It's okay to like the same sex. It's okay to need help. If you ever need to talk to someone you can always message me on Instagram. If you need someone I'll always be there for you.
